In early October 2009, Helle Fuglevig, was appointed "Female Entrepreneurship Ambassador" as part of an initiative of the EuropeanCommission to promote and inspire entrepreneurship among women. The solemn appointment took place in the Blue Hall of the Stockholm City Hall, where the Nobel laureates get their medals every December, and it was administered by HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.

Ms Fuglevig has been operating independently as an industry matchmaker since 2007 with her company Market Select. Ms Fuglevig, with a background in sales and marketing from the manufacturing sector and in SME counselling from the Danish Consulate General in Toronto and the Danish Federation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, has worked as mediator of Estonian and Hungarian industrial clients to Denmark for a number of years, cooperating among others with the EstonianTrade Council and ITD Hungary, an association of exporting companies.
